Antonio Signorello - Tenor
Obtained his diploma in clarinet in Catania, his hometown, and then graduated from DAMS in Bologna. He also obtained diplomas in specialization courses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese. He won many national and international competitions and, as a very young man, he performed an intense concert activity as a clarinetist in Italy (RAIDUE, Teatro alla Scala – under the direction of R. Muti and W. Sawallisch) and abroad (Czech Republic, Germany, France).
He also recorded the CDs Atelier Musicale del XX secolo with Ensemble Garbarino and Rare Contemporary Sonatas with pianist Véronique Garnier. He trained at the school of singing of tenor Vittorio Tosto and obtained the diploma in this discipline at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, then specializing with Nicolai Gedda. Winner of the IV Contest “Romanza da Camera” in Rome, he performed Requiem K626 by Mozart with soprano Cecilia Gasdia, at the Teatro Comunale Traiano in Civitavecchia, and, at the Auditorium San Fedele in Milan, he sang the title-role in Salvatore Giuliano by L. Ferrero. He was also the tenor soloist in the following compositions of church music: Messe Solennelle en l’Honneur de Sainte Cécile by C. Gounod, Stabat Mater by G. Rossini, Messa da requiem by G. Verdi.
Professor of singing at the Liceo Musicale “C. Tenca” in Milan, Antonio Signorello is also the director of “La Compagnia di Canto Vittorio Tosto” for which he directed several operas (Il trovatore, Aida, Norma, Carmen, Turandot, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Andrea Chénier, Samson et Dalila) and multimedia shows (Quell’amore di Francesca, Forme all’Opera) in which music, theatre and image blend together in a happy marriage. He is currently deepening the operatic repertoire with M° Bruno Nicoli.
Appassionated since childhood at the chamber, symphonic and operatic music, Antonio Signorello began his musical education graduating in clarinet at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania. It is perfected, subsequently, at several prestigious musical academies, and a degree in musicology at the University of Bologna and a diploma in lyrical singing at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
Thanks to his great musical skills, to the knowledge of English and French languages, to the years spent in studies and improvements and to the great passion that distinguishes him, Antonio Signorello has obtained great experience and recognition as a solo singer in Concerts and competitions in theaters all over the world. As director of "The Company of Singing Vittorio Tosto", Antonio Signorello has edited the regia of various operatic titles (Il trovatore, Aida, Norma, Carmen, Turandot, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Andrea Chénier, Samson and Dalila) and multimedia shows ( That love of Francesca, Forme all'Opera, Serenata), in which the latest music, theater and image blend together in a happy connubi, getting unanimous consents of public and critics.
